The forgotten underground river that shaped Paris

Once an affluent of the Seine, the Bièvre river was gradually buried from the time of the industrial revolution to 1912. Today, as cities around the world are looking at 'daylighting' their lost rivers, the Bièvre's surprising traces are visible everywhere in Paris, if one knows where to look; its water even shaped the iconic fountains of Versailles. In this video, history tour guide and author Alexis Lecomte take us on a journey to rediscover the ghost river of Paris.
