«Δεν θα με εκφοβίσει αυτός ο πρόεδρος», δηλώνει ο υποψήφιος του Δημοκρατικού κόμματος για τη δημαρχία της Νέα Υόρκης, Ζοχράν Μαμντάνι, ενώ ο Ντόναλντ Τραμπ προτρέπει τους Νεοϋορκέζους «να ψηφίσουν τον Κουόμο».
Σε ερώτησή δημοσιογράφου του Guardian για τα σχόλια του Τραμπ στο Truth Social, ότι σκοπεύει να περιορίσει τα ομοσπονδιακά κονδύλια προς τη Νέα Υόρκη αν κερδίσει ο Ζοράν Μαμντάνι, ο υποψήφιος των Δημοκρατικών απάντησε ότι «θα αντιμετωπίσει τις απειλές του όπως τους αξίζει, δηλαδή ως λόγια ενός προέδρου και όχι απαραίτητα ως νόμο της χώρας».
